Each May, nearly 20,000 USC degrees are conferred in areas from engineering, architecture and communication to business, dance and music. The road to those degrees is challenging, inspiring and unforgettable.

Home Infusion Pharmacy Trailblazer
Alumnus Sohail Masood ’88 has transformed patient care through his pioneering work in home infusion therapy. He founded three companies, including the largest privately held home infusion provider in the United States, to make advanced treatments accessible outside hospital settings. Driven by his USC education and a deep sense of purpose, Masood’s entrepreneurial and philanthropic efforts continue to raise the standard of care for patients with complex medical needs.
A Trojan’s Journey of Resilience
Born with a massive neck tumor and subjected to more than 60 surgeries by the age of 9, Kevin Huoh ’03 defied the odds. Inspired by the physicians who treated him—many trained at USC Dornsife College of Letters, Arts and Sciences—he returned to USC, excelled as valedictorian and now practices as a pediatric otolaryngologist dedicated to caring for children facing similar challenges.
Alumni Lead High-Desert City Governance
In the Mojave Desert city of Twentynine Palms, two Trojans are steering public service. Stone James ’24, from the USC Price School, serves as city manager, leveraging his academic and practical background to navigate unexpected challenges and shape the city’s future. His partner in civic leadership is Steven Bilderain ’24, from the USC Marshall School of Business, mayor of Twentynine Palms and a U.S. Marine Corps veteran. Together they embody Trojan leadership and dedication to community resilience.
Trojan Family Rallies for Relief
In the wake of devastating wildfires across the greater Los Angeles region, the Trojan Family L.A. Wildfire Relief Fund has raised nearly $4.3 million to provide vital assistance to more than 450 students, faculty and staff at the University of Southern California. The fund has enabled Trojans impacted by the Eaton Fire and Palisades Fire to rebuild their lives, covering immediate needs such as temporary housing, vehicle replacement and research materials anchored in community resilience and the Trojan spirit.
